The Camel Overcoat

I once rode a camel through the Sahara desert, which was a great experience but I remember after 5 minutes my ass was hurting and I wanted off. My camel overcoat, on the other hand, is an ever-present feature of my outfits.

HOW TO WEAR IT

It’s such a versatile piece that can be used for a smart casual look with a black shirt and black jeans or add additional details to a more formal suit + tie combo.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING

  • The quality remains long after the price is forgotten (thanks mum)…so buy less but buy better.
  • Consider the style that you’re most comfortable with. This could be single or double breasted?

WHERE TO BUY

M&S – Where I bought mine from and it’s survived everything winter’s thrown at it costing around £110

ASOS – Classic and simple ASOS doesn’t fail at delivering a cheaper option at around £80.

Paul and Smith – On the higher price range at £600 this is the ultimate coat that you’ll want to be buried in.
