Let me do you a favour. Whip out your bucket list from under your bed. Have you got it? Good. Now write in big boisterous writing ‘I (insert name here) will visit the majestic Fjords of Norway before I die’.
You’re welcome.
There have been few times in my life when I’ve been genuinely speechless but Norway completely silenced me (much to the delight of my friends and family haha). We spent 5 days exploring this incredible countryside. From the Fjords to the mountain’s, Norway is a seriously special place.
WHEN TO GO
Depends on what kind of trip you want.
- For hiking the Fjords May – August
- For seeing the Northern Lights November – February
HOW TO GET THERE
Fly direct from London to Bergen costs around £30 (the government subsidises flights because once you land its expensive A.F.)
WHERE WE STAYED
Bergen: Best to stay in the centre of Bergen, in walking distance to the fish market.
On the Fjords: There are plenty of options but we stayed in a gorgeous town called Aurlandsvangen.
